My first preprint comments!
I’ve never participated in the preprint experience before. Today, I was reading a fantastic* preprint on how depicting error bars in graphs without accompanying data points can be misleading even to experts in data creation and analysis. (*fantastic in my opinion, but I am not an expert in statistics or science philosophy)
It makes so much sense that we should see new work as soon as we can and that we should make suggestions or raise concerns while we read to accelerate the production of good science. It feels good to participate in the scientific community this way!
Here’s the link to the preprint on SocArXiv: https://osf.io/preprints/socarxiv/5tcgs/.
I found this paper from a thread by Carl T. Bergstrom on Twitter.
